It’s Homecoming game day!!!! Up first was the Junior High Arrows. They travelled to magazine last night and started things off with a bang. Arrows won the toss and elected to receive. Spencer Giles returned the ball to the 45 yard line and the Arrows were in business. 5 plays later Mattocks Noel finds pay dirt to take the early lead 6-0.

Magazine starts their first drive on their own 43 yard line. However, Lavaca’s defense, also came to play. On Magazine’s 4th play Spencer Giles intercepted the Rattler pass and the Arrows were back in business again. The ball on the Rattler 45. Cazen Winters and Mattocks Noel took turns running the ball, picking up big yards on each carry. This time it was Cazen Winter who got into the end zone. Two point conversion was good, and route was on. Winters ran for another Touchdown and threw a touchdown pass to Jackson Floyd to take a 28-0 lead into halftime.

In the second half the Rattlers did finally get on the scoreboard, but it was too little too late. Mattocks Noel added the final score to end the game 36-8. This was a complete game. Arrows defense played big with 2 interceptions and a bunch of tackles for loss. Special Teams played well pinning the Rattlers deep and forcing a turnover as well.
Well done Junior Arrows! Now it’s time for the Seniors to follow suit. Hope you all will be out tonight to watch your Arrows defend home field and crown a new queen. Crowning Ceremonies start at 6:30 and the game starts at 7:00.
