Barling PD Fundraiser for K-9 Ballistic Vest

officerhype.jpg

Barling K-9 officer Hype, a two year old, red nosed pit, is certified in narcotics work and is a partner of officer Don Rowe.

Hype was rescued from a shelter in The Bronx, NY. She was found in a portable dog crate, with no food or water. After being rescued, Hype ended up in a Dallas, TX training program, which utilizes shelter dogs and trains them for narcotics detection.

Hype came on board with the Barling Police Department in February, but lacks an essential, life-saving K-9 ballistic protection vest. There has been a fund set up for donations to provide that necessary piece of equipment as well as a heat alarm for patrol vehicle(s), which would serve to protect Hype and additional incoming K-9 officers. All funds raised will go towards this goal.

When non on patrol, Hype enjoys playing with her ball, running and just being a dog. Hype lives with his human partner and his family, where she receives lots of love and playtime. All the good things which she deserves!
