Saturday, October 13, Waldron Post Office employee, Robin Kastl, was arrested and booked into the Scott County Detention Center.

Scott County Deputy Josiah Bolin recognized Kastl’s vehicle and was aware she had an outstanding warrant. “He was assisting Waldron city workers while they were working on the water main break Saturday,” stated Deputy Billy Carnahan. “He recognized her vehicle and proceeded to pull her over.”

During a vehicle search, Carnahan noted that Bolin discovered 2 bags of a white crystal substance, believed to be methamphetamine, and syringes. She was charged with possession of methamphetamine with the purpose to deliver as well as second degree battery to an officer.

The seized items will be sent to the state crime lab. Kastl currently remains in the Scott County Detention Center.
