Waldron Nursing Center joins in with celebrating National Nurse Aid Week-June 16-23, 2017, with lots of special activities and recognition for our Nurse Aids, being recognized are Jacqueline Allen, Jessie Ammons, Mara Ashmore, Joelene Beaty, Megan Bottoms, Michael Bowen, Beverly Byford, Alex Carter, Jessie Carter, Kathleen Carter, Christa DeShazo, Dena Eslick, Regenia Evans, Samanta Farmer, Dylan Harrison, Brittany Head, Emily Howell, Tandra Jewell, Shawnee Justice, Brinna Mannning, Meggan Milliard, Halee Mortimore, Vanessa Ozuna, Claudie Pierce, Vallie Barnett, Sara Pleitner, Dixir Rodriguez, Sheena Stafford, Billie Strozier, Jessica Swim, Kelley Taylor, Bonnie Thompson, Heather Vongphakdy, Kinnley Wagner, Barbara Wallace, Nina Welch, Hannah Whitney, Autumn Wilson, Shelley Wright and Paige Zimmer.
Other resident events was lots of toe tappin’ music with the Common Thread Blue grass band and singers, Jerry Walker, Central City, Fred & Janice Webb-Bella Vista, Trudy Humphries, Amity, AR., Johnny Bass from Parks, AR. Guest with the band were Baylee Martin-Amity, AR., Vickie Walker-Central City, AR., Harold & Marie Walker-Talaquah, Ok., Harold & Joyce Bolton-Mansfield, AR. Thanks to Harold & Joyce for always getting the band scheduled. This is another group that our residents look forward to their coming each year. Along with these activities was Reminiscence with Diane Miller, bingo with our great Volunteers, worship and singing services with Temple Baptist group, Mike Shaddon, Larry Justice, Grady Parker, Winfield Baptist group, Singing with Freedom Church members, Ray Jett, movies with Alex Carter, scrap-booking, homemade ice cream social and our special event of Horse Races this week.
Congratulations to Sheena Stafford-nurse aid-day shift-for being elected as employee of the month, Along with her plaque she received $100. in cash.
Big “thanks” goes out this week to those that answered our call for stuffed animals for our bingo cart, this one of the favorite prizes that the residents like to pick at the bingo games and we are always in need of these prizes, to Peggy Sehorn and Sherry Keener for helping us out with these prizes. Also to the family of Jean Plummer for sharing all of the beautiful plants even in their time of great sadness.
In closing our deepest sympathy goes out to the families of Jean Plummer, Paul Laird, Chester Robertson and Dan Lambert. All of these residents will be greatly missed and our thoughts and prayers will be with them in the many sad days ahead.
