Waldron Lady Bulldogs Are Proving That Every Dog Has Its Day

By Megan Hecox

The Waldron Volleyball team has a jam-packed schedule this week with three matches and a tournament but that doesn’t scare them. The Lady Bulldogs are 4-3 in conference play so far this season and with all of this weeks excitement, they are hoping to add some wins to that.

Tonight the Lady Bulldogs head south for their match against Mena and then Tuesday the girls will head to Mansfield to take on the Lady Tigers in a Waldron/Mansfield rivalry volleyball match. Waldron Volleyball Head Coach, Toby Hollin, tells us what to expect in tomorrows game. “The girls are ready for their match tomorrow. They have been practicing hard and have improved greatly in their coverage. When the team comes together they are able to play with impressive potential. This will most definitely be an amazing game to watch.”

The girls will have one more match on Thursday against Booneville and then the Sr High team gets to compete on Saturday in the Tri-Lakes Sr High Invitational at Fountain Lake. “We will be going up against some stiff competition,” said Coach Hollin “but I know we can hold our own and show the other teams what we are made of.”
