Tiger Pals are a HIT with MES Students

Mansfield School District has recently added new elements that not only create awareness among the schools, and their programs, but also include the community. “Tiger Pals” is one of those new additions.
Mansfield Elementary Schools 1st grade teacher, Mallory Walker initiated the idea after seeing similar programs work in other schools. With Coach Bentley having interest in an aspect that parallels the Tiger Pals program while he was at Mena School District, he was quick to come aboard and help Walker.
Tiger Pals is a program that allows the High School football team to come into classrooms at the Elementary School on home game Friday’s and talk to students about making positive choices in their lives, reading to them, and going outside to play with the kids.
Walker stated, “Students look forward to seeing their Tiger Pals on Friday and I think that the football boys are excited to get in the classroom each week!”
