After all of the sad and tragic news that has flooded the airwaves over the past three months, the opportunity has finally arrived to talk about high school sports! Finally, we have the opportunity to talk about positive things that our children and community love to hear. And now, Paris Eagles fans have their own weekly internet show that is for Paris fans and is all about Paris. Starting Tuesday, June 9, Paris fans will have their own weekly show that will air on the internet on Tuesdays from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
“The Sports Brew Show with Tim, Jim & Marvin”, including Paris broadcasters Tim Johns, Marvin Wiggins, and yours truly, will air on the “The Sports Brew.net”, the internet broadcast site of Paris Eagles and Lady Eagles games throughout the school year. The show will feature local guests that include coaches, players, administrators, boosters, Eagle Moms, and other guests of local interest. The show will kickoff Tuesday, June 9.
Paris Lady Eagles head volleyball coach, Jordan Devine, will be interviewed in a special one hour show on May 26 that will be recorded and added to the Sports Brew website. Paris volleyball fans will not want to miss this great show that will showcase the Lady Eagles head coach as she speaks about the “Drive for Five is Still Alive” and the Lady Eagles’ goal of returning to the state finals to compete for a fifth Class 3A state volleyball title. Lady Eagles fans can listen to the interview live and can catch it again on the Sports Brew website.
New Paris Eagles boys head basketball coach, Blain Brewington, will be interviewed on June 2. And just as fans can listen to the May 26 interview with Coach Devine, Eagles fans can listen live on June 2, or can catch the recorded version of the interview on the Sports Brew website. Paris fans will want to hear their new basketball coach as he answers questions and talks about his vision and expectations for the boys basketball program. The theme for the June 2 interview will be “A New Era in Paris Basketball with Coach Blain Brewington.”
Fans can listen live to both interviews on May 26 and June 2 at 4 p.m., or they can catch the recorded interviews on the Sports Brew website.
The show will officially kickoff on June 9 with its two-hour format that can be heard every Tuesday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. The show will feature a wide variety of local guests that will include many aspects and areas of interest for all Eagles fans.
