As of the time of this publication, the Arkansas Activities Association is set to play the state basketball finals in all classifications starting tomorrow at Bank OZK Arena in Hot Springs. In a telephone call placed this morning, the Association indicated the finals would be played as scheduled and that fans would be permitted to attend.
In a press release dated March 11, 2020, the Association stated “The AAA is working closely with the Arkansas Department of Education, the Governor’s Office, and the Arkansas Department of Health to ensure all appropriate steps are taken during the finals.”

Collegiate athletic conferences across the nation have either modified or cancelled their post-season tournaments. The COVID-19 outbreak is a situation that is constantly forcing organizations to make modifications or restrictions seemingly by the hour.
