The sky is the limit for the Magazine Sr High Rattlers. Literally. Since the 2016 football season, the Rattlers have done nothing but consistently improve on their mad game skills while far exceeding the bar of greatness. In 2016, Magazine ended their season with a 2-6 total play record and 2-5 in conference. With the conclusion of their 2017 season, the Rattlers were 3-6 in overall play and 3-4 in conference. But the Magazine train doesn’t stop there. By the end of the 2018 Rattler season, Magazine sat 6-5 overall and 4-2 in conference play. And this year, the Rattlers hold the top spot in conference play with an undefeated record of 5-0 and sit 7-1 in total season play.

In their last game of the season which also coupled as Senior Night, the Rattlers took the Mountainburg Dragons for a spin up and down the field leaving the Dragons wondering what hit them. After completely shutting Mountainburg down in the first three-quarters of the game, Magazine took the win 36-16. In the first half of this cha cha, it was Tatum Scott, Kobe Faughn, and Caleb Hyatt who coupled for four in your face touchdowns totaling 105 rushing yards. And Hyatt and Jacob Hall bringing in two 2-point conversions sending the game into halftime 28-0 Magazine.

Tsim Neeg Vang brought in Magazines only touchdown in the second half of the game along with Faughn’s added two-point conversion. With the rest of the teams in the 2A-4 conference finishing final gameplay this Friday, it’ll be interesting to see how the cards fall when Playoffs roll around.
