Resident Press is going to profile each of the three candidates that are running for Sebastian County Sheriff. Over the next three days you will read the biographical information submitted to us. We will be publishing them in alphabetical order of last name in an effort to be fair and unbias. Then, on Friday of this week we will run a special Q & A session. RP will ask pointed questions that will help you, the voter, make an informed decision at the polls.
Sebastian County Sheriff candidate Randy McFadden, 59, is a Republican and a Christian Conservative. He is married to Sherrell McFadden. They have three children and three grandchildren. The McFaddens live on a farm in Dayton, Arkansas. McFadden is an active member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. He attended Fort Smith schools and graduated from Southside High School in 1977. He went on to graduate with his Bachelor of Science degree in organizational management.
McFadden has 20 years experience in law enforcement. This includes experience in the city of Springdale as well as Washington and Sebastian County. Additionally, he served for 12 years as the United Parcel Service Corporate Security Manager for three states, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri. Then for 16 years he was United Parcel Service’s Corporate Operation Manager for Batesville, Harrison, Mt. Home, Pocahontas and Springdale. McFadden retired from the United Parcel Service after 28 years.
