Robotics Class Scores with Soccer

The Waldron Middle School and High School robotics students, under the direction of Tracie Adams, robotics, engineering and technology instructor, scored big with the recent donation of materials to construct two soccer goals for the school.

The soccer goals were constructed from PVC pipe, compliments of Ferguson Plumbing in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Adams expressed her gratitude toward store manager, Mac McGrew, who made the donation.

The construction consisted of hands-on work from the students. The project isn’t a first for the robotics team, however. In fact, the group has been nationally recognized in competition. Adams shared that the robotics teams placed in the top 20 worldwide in the very first LEGO League. In 2013, they placed 13th nationally best in robotics.

Adams is doing an amazing work with the students, who are enjoying every minute!
