Public Art to Start in Chaffee Crossing

OZ ArtTM, in partnership with the Unexpected and global curator firm Justkids, announced the launch of a new initiative to install 12 pieces of public art across Arkansas.

The initiative is called ARkanvas, a statewide engagement bringing public art by world-renowned artists to Arkansas communities, including Bentonville, Rogers, Springdale, Fort Smith (Chaffee Crossing), Conway, Little Rock, Hot Springs, Pine Bluff and Stuttgart.

Husband-and-wife duo, DABSMYLA, have been commissioned to do an installation on the Chaffee Crossing water tower on Wells Lake Road. DABSMYLA’s work employs a shared design language that dictates subject matter, positioning, color theory, and perspective.

Chaffee Crossing, rich with military history, will serve as a home for a beautiful piece of art by one of the world-class artists who are working with Justkids, The Unexpected, and OZ Art during the ARkanvas initiative.
