Reese Emersyn Scantling of Waldron, Arkansas was welcomed into the arms of Jesus, on Thursday, February 6, 2020 in Little Rock, Arkansas with her family by her side. Reese was born October 15, 2019 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Eli and Hannah (Thompson) Scantling. She was 3 months old.

Reese touched the hearts of many and was incredibly loved. She had the sweetest soul with a touch of sass. She adored her daddy and they could spend hours just sitting and staring at one another. Her favorite thing to do was cuddle in mommy’s arms and read books. Reese was always styling with her big bows and pretty clothes and didn’t go a day without catching someone’s eye. We will forever miss our baby girl, but are at peace knowing she’s completely healed and perfectly loved in the hands of Jesus.

Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the Kingdom of heaven.”

Reese leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daddy and mommy, Eli and Hannah Scantling, her grandparents, Russell and Teresa Scantling, Eric and Nonie Thompson and her uncles and aunts: Lucas and Jessica Scantling, Danielle and Logan Hoopes, Calla and Josh Reyman, Laramie and Karley Thompson as well as her cousins: Payton, Sawyer and Sutton Scantling, Weston, Colton and Grayson Reyman. Reese is also survived by her great grandparents: Windell and Geneva Hale, Dora Thompson and Jeff and Delma Plowman. Reese will be missed by a host of extended family and friends that loved her dearly.

Reese was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Glen and Della Faye Scantling, Earl D. Thompson and Nila and Charles Justice.

Reese’s life celebration will be 12 p.m., Monday, February 10, 2020 at the Packsaddle Church near Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Jeff Wilkinson officiating. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Reese’s pallbearers will be her uncles, Laramie Thompson and Lucas Scantling.
