They may not be waitresses but they know how to serve. The Mansfield Sr High Lady Tigers brought home the gold after last Saturdays Volleyball Tournament in Harrison.
On September 8th, the Mansfield Sr High Volleyball team competed against seven other schools which included teams from Hackett, Elkins, Highland, Yellville, Piggott, Alpena, and Valley Springs. The Lady Tigers held matches against Highland, Elkins, and Hackett. During those games, Mansfield went 3-0 and was undefeated in all sets. The Lady Tigers were faced with the challenge of not having three of their seniors at the tournament due to ACT testing. But they didn’t let that stop them because the Lady Tigers went on to face the Hackett Hornets in the finals and walked away with a first place win.
Mansfield Sr High Coach, Kaylie Pyles had this to say about her team. “The girls really stepped it up on the court and played well together. We played with intensity and heart this weekend and in return, the girls were rewarded with a well-deserved tournament championship.”
The Mansfield Lady Tigers have a busy week ahead of them as they play West Fork on September 11th at 4 in Mansfield. They will then face Charleston on September 13th at 4 in Mansfield and end the week with the Jr High team playing in the Mena Tournament on September 15th. Be sure to show your support for the Lady Tigers for both of their home games and paint the stands RED.
