By Megan Hecox

Update: This game has been postponed until Tuesday

And here we go. After playing two practice games and a Jamboree, the Mansfield Little League Tigers are finally starting WCFL League play. The Tigers will travel to Mountainburg tonight in what is sure to be a close fought game. Both Tiger squads have taken their time working out the kinks the past couple of months in preparation for this moment.

David Moore, 3rd and 4th Grade Head Coach had this to say about his squad “We’re looking forward to heading up north to face the Dragons. It’s been a while since Mansfield has played Mountainburg. With the chances of rain, we should have a great game of good ol’ fashion smash mouth football tonight.”

Jason Edwards, 5th and 6th Grade Head Coach said “We have been practicing and preparing hard for League play. We are ready to get back on the field and start moving forward. Ball security and a disciplined defense will be a must tonight as we face a talented Mountainburg team in what looks to be a very wet game.”

The Little League Tigers hope to put out the “Dragons Fire” it what is sure to be a wet and wild game tonight. The 3rd and 4th Grade game will start at 6:00pm and the 5th and 6th Grade game will start at 7:00pm
