April 27, 2019 was the Governor’s Scholastic Honors Day held at the Governor’s Mansion in Little Rock.
The Scholastic Honors Day is a day that recognizes the best and brightest students from across the state of Arkansas. Arkansas high schools, both public and private, were encouraged to select two students who best represent academic achievement from their senior class.

Hope Headley was selected with this honor for Lavaca High School this year. She said this about the experience: “I was able to meet the Governor and First Lady. It was a special opportunity and I was blessed to be able to attend.”

Way to go Hope! Resident Press wants to congratulate you on a great honor and opportunity. As well as encourage you to keep up the hard work as you move into the next phase of your life.
