Just call them butter because they are on a roll. The Hackett Hornets Volleyball team is now 4-0 and show no signs of stopping. They head to Lavaca tomorrow to take on the Lady Arrows and then the Sr High A squad will travel to Harrison to represent in Slam Fest.

On Tuesday, September 4th the Lady Hornets made their way to Decatur where they ended up dominating the Lady Bulldogs. Decatur didn’t even know what hit them by the time Hackett was through.

The Sr High girls walked away with some impressive scores. Kandace Byrd had seven aces and five digs while Audrie Chaney ended up with two blocks. Jamye Durham and Rain Vaughn had six kills apiece and Madi Taylor came in with thirteen assists. The Jr High girls made a name for themselves as well by winning 25-4 in one match and 25-6 in another.

The Lady Hornets are excited and ready to travel to Lavaca on Thursday. The teams saw each other over the summer during the Jr High team camp and the Sr High girls had a match against the Lady Arrows two weekends ago in the Alma Tournament.

Now the Lady Hornets are ready to take the Lady Arrows to court, when they play in Lavaca on Thursday, September 6th at 4 pm.
