Lady Hornets Ridin’ High In That Softball Sky

The Hackett Lady Hornets have done it again. Another complete strikeout of the competition. Hackett hosted the Hector Lady Wildcats to the first conference game of the season. The Lady Hornets wouldn’t even let the Lady Wildcats come off home plate as they ended their game with a dominating 10-0 Hackett shutout.

#5 Kayla Richardson

Concluding the game in six innings, the girls were quick to lay down the law. Staying fast on their feet were Kayla Richardson, Madeline Freeman, Madi Taylor who also stole two bases, and Sarah White with two runs each. And with one run apiece was Audrie Chaney and Shayla Foster. Autum Neal earned herself one hit and two steals.

#15 Madi Taylor

Cracking bats with four and three hits were Sarah White and Madeline Freeman. Coming in with a combined five hits for the Lady Hornets were Kayla, Shayla, and Jamye Durham. Never knowing where she would pop up next with her faster than Flash moves was Audrie Chaney with eight putouts. Sarah White brought in seven and combining for three putouts were Kayla, Madeline, and Emma Infalt.

#21 Sarah White

With better pitching skills than Sandy Koufax was sophomore pitcher Kayla Richardson with 89 pitches to 21 batters striking out seven. For their next game, the Lady Hornets will be headed to Harrison to take on the Lady Goblins in the Ozark Classic Tournament tonight at 7:30 p.m.
