The Lady Arrows finished fourth in the Golden Arrow Classic. It wasn’t the finish that the Arrows wanted but they will grow from this tournament. As Nelson Mandela said, “I never lose. I either win or learn.”   Lavaca dropped their last two games of the tournament to Providence Academy and then to Lamar. This years Classic was Star studded with some great competition. Coach Wyles is counting on the stiff competition helping to make his Lady Arrows better. As the saying goes, “Iron sharpens Iron”.

Coach commented on todays game, saying, “We knew coming in that Lamar was a good team, as were the other teams we played this week. That will help us as the season goes on. These girls compete hard every time we step on the floor. I thought we played well defensively again today. We’re going to learn from some mistakes we had and get better from it.”

This Lady Arrow team is very good team and there is no doubt that they will be ready for conference play next week. Lavaca will take on the Lady Dragons from Mountainburg on December 7th at Mountainburg. The game will start at 6:00 followed by the boys game at 7:30.
