James Honored as Teacher of the Year

Wendy James, a Mansfield School District alumni, and current Hartford 5th/6th grade teacher, was recently chosen as the Arkansas Smart Maher Teacher of the Year.

James stated, “I won District 7 VFW, then went on to win the teacher of the year for the elementary division for the State of Arkansas, which focused on excellence in teaching citizenship, and patriotism in school.”

Referencing above image, James traveled to Little Rock on February 3, 2018 where she accepted the prestigious award, along with a cash prize, and a YETI tumbler with “Teacher of the Year” engraved on its side.
