The Hackett Hornet Bowling Team bowled their last game of the season last night against Southside. The Lady Hornets played a very competitive game and won by 1 point. The Hornets boys’ team gave it everything they had but ended up rolling away with a loss. Emma Infalt led her team with a 137 and Kayla Richardson bowled a 130. Tanner Wright secured a high score of 178 for the boys. “I thought the season went really well,” said Coach Matt Whitsett. “Our kids competed and gave great effort all season.”

Although the Hornets had a pretty good bowling season facing bigger schools, they are the only small town team around. “I wish bowling would take off in more smaller schools,” says Coach Whitsett. “We have to bowl big schools like Van Buren, Greenwood, and Southside which is ok because we don’t mind bowling good competition. It pushes us to be better. But it would be nice to have some schools more our size to bowl against.”

The Hornets will bowl in their District Tournament at Fast Lanes in Rogers on February 5th at 11 in the morning.
