The 46-14 win last week against Westside was exactly what the Hornets needed to secure their PLAYOFFS spot. Coming in at the 4th seed, Hackett will hit the road and take on #2 seed Mountain Pine this Friday Night. The Hornets are 4-5 overall in their season and 3-3 in conference play. Mountain Pine is 7-3 overall and 6-1 in conference play.

After Hackett beats Mountain Pine (I had an extra shot of confidence in my morning coffee) they could go on to either face Des Arc or Magnet Cove. This is Hackett’s 13th consecutive year to make the Playoffs. Head Coach Lonnie Hester says “It’s always good to be playing football in week 11. We are proud of the fact that it has become an expectation for our program. We want the culture of our entire football program, from Little League through High School, to be one where we are going to work hard and be successful. We are proud of that!”

The Hornets know they have to work harder than ever before during practices this week to prepare for Friday Night. “When you get this far, everyone is pretty good. Plus there’s the added pressure of win and go on or lose and you’re done,” said Coach Hester.

Join the Hackett Hornets on the road to victory as they travel to face Mountain Pine in Round 1 of the Playoffs, this Friday, November 9th at 7 pm.
