Hackett Runs Thru Pocola

Head Coach Lonnie Hester took his Hornet staff, and Senior High team to Pocola, Oklahoma on Friday night for their season opener against the Indians.
With the all the hype coming from, and inside Hackett, one could believe that they definitely have something special going on with their football program. Friday night was no different.

Quarterback, Eli Stormes had a defensive interception setting up the Hackett offense. He also had 2-yard rushing score, and a 48 yard passing connection for another touchdown. Fullback Malachi Crone had a 2-yard touchdown, and a 2-poiont conversion.
Sophomore Pacey McBride had a 2-point conversion, and Sophomore Cooper Shipman was the leading rusher with 68 yards on 19 carries. Sophomore receiver Brady Hester had 64 yards receiving on 3 catches, and a 48 yard reception from Stormes. Senior Robert Collins grabbed another interception, and returned a Punt for a 45 yard TD.
The Hornets took home the win with a 28-14 victory over the Indians with a great start to the 2016 campaign.
The Hackett Hornets host Mountianburg as their conference opener this coming Friday night. Go Hornets!
