The Hackett community swarmed out tonight for their annual Pride Night in support of their student athletes. After opening with a prayer, the packed stands of Hornet fans, cheered as each student was introduced with their teams on Mills Field while the bands school spirited notes echoed through the town. Teams introduced included Volleyball, Football, Cheer and Golf.
“When we first started doing this, many years ago,” explains Hackett Jr High Football coach Jeff Richardson “Orientation, Meet the Teacher and Pride Night, were all held on different nights and the turn out just wasn’t what we would have liked. But a couple of years ago we decided to have it all on the same night and attendance sky-rocketed. We couldn’t be more proud of our students and the town we live in.”
