Hackett Bowls Over Haas Hall

It was a good night for the Hackett Hornet Bowling Team. Last night the Hornets faced off against Haas Hall. The boys pinned a victory by 7 points. Nathan Childs had an awesome day throwing a 170 and a 240. The Lady Hornets only had two girls due to basketball homecoming but Rachel Widmer ended her night bowling a 167.

The Hornets have their final match tonight against Southside. Coach Matt Whitsett said this about taking on the Mavericks, “Southside is a very good team. One of the best teams in the state. I just want our kids to compete and try to fine tune everything for District since this will be our last match until then.”

The Hornets only have 7 days to prepare for their District Tournament but with the numbers they have been bowling this season, they should be just fine. “The boys need to try for a team average of 160 or better and the girls vary from year to year but I feel like if we shoot for a 130 average as a team we should be in pretty good shape,” says Coach Whitsett. The Hornets will be at Bowling World tonight with a game time of 4 pm.
