Going Bananas During Quarantine?

bannana-bread.jpg

Going bananas during quarantine? By now, we probably all are! This easy banana bread recipe is one that’s been passed down in the family because it’s that simple! I spent a Saturday afternoon during quarantine teaching my youngest daughter how to bake this bread, and it did not disappoint. We delivered bread to grandparents and made some for us as well. There’s nothing better than a slice of warm banana bread with a slab of butter! You can even freeze banana bread if you want to make extra for later. So, do you have any bananas that are ready for the trash because you didn’t eat them in time? Don’t chunk them in the trash! Toss those into a bowl with these few ingredients and get to baking! Black-spotted bananas are the best kind for baking banana bread!

Ingredients
3 Ripe Bananas
1 Cup of Sugar
1 Egg
1 ½ Cups of All-Purpose Flour
¼ Cup Melted Butter
1 Teaspoon of Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon of Salt
Optional: ½ Cup of Chopped Walnuts

Directions
In a large bowl, smash up ripen bananas. Fold in dry ingredients. Stir and then add egg and butter. Last, add walnuts if desired. Pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake for 325 degrees for one hour. Enjoy!
