From the Desk of the Hartford Mayor

I certainly hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and you will be able to keep the new year’s resolutions that you made.

The city’s Christmas parade was one of the largest and best parades in recent memory, and I want to thank all of the participants and all of the people who showed up to watch. I want to especially thank Rich Galyen, our Public Works Director for organizing the parade. He did a wonderful job.

I also want to thank him and Jesse Keeth and all of the volunteers who helped decorate Alexander Park. It was beautiful. I do hope everyone noticed the new Christmas tree that was planted in the park this year with a special thanks to Lanny Woodhull, Michael Fildes, Keith Dedmon, Rich Galyen and Hartford Pride for the generous donations to purchase the live tree.

Additionally, the citizens of our wonderful little town for their cooperation in our ongoing clean up effort and for allowing me to have the honor of being your mayor. There are a lot of great things on the horizon for Hartford this year and it will be my pleasure to keep you informed as they unfold.

May God bless the citizens and City of Hartford.
