On Saturday, March 16, members of the community, friends and family all came together to honor the service of retiring Mansfield Police Chief, Boyd Farmer.

Farmer’s wife, Cyndy welcomed all the guests who were in attendance and offered a prayer of thanksgiving before inviting everyone to eat. BBQ sandwiches with all the sides, cake and of course doughnuts were on the menu.

Members of law enforcement came from all over to celebrate Farmer’s dedication and service to his community. In addition to his retirement, Farmer also celebrated his 55th birthday.

On behalf of all of us at Resident Press, and behalf of the citizens of this community, we say thank you for your years of service. We wish you well in all future endeavors!
