The City of Barling hosted National Night Out on Tuesday evening. The community came together with members of law enforcement, fire services and city officials to promote unity and safety.
This annual event has continued to grow over the past few years. Other cities like Fort Smith and Greenwood hosted their own National Night Out. Barling Police and Fire put forth great effort to ensure the event was a success. The kids certainly approved!
Families were treated to hamburgers and hotdogs as well as entertainment, including bounce houses and educational safety experiences. For example, the Barling Fire Department had their smoke trailer on display for the kids to learn fire prevention. Additionally, Air Evac landed a helicopter, and the kids were able to climb in and take a look inside.
A special thanks to all who worked so hard to make this a successful event!
