BethAnn May was brilliant in the pitcher’s circle on Thursday, as she threw a no-hitter to lead the Lavaca Lady Arrows past Westside 15-0. May threw a no hit shutout over five innings, striking out 11 and walking one against the Lady Rebels.

The Lady Arrows secured the victory thanks to ten runs in the fourth inning. Lindsey Morgan, Morgan Taylor, Brianna Winchester, Jessica Flanagan, Brooklynn O’Kelley, and Tessa Leonard all drove in runs in the frame. The Arrows scored 3 more runs in the 5th. 2 of those runs came off of a Sierra Lamb in the park home run. Lavaca collected ten hits on the day. Winchester and Lamb lead the team at the plate. Winchester had three hits in three at bats and Lamb had another 2 on 4 plate appearances.

The Lady Arrows are going to be very tough to beat this year. With their strength of pitching and strong hitting the Lady Arrows look to carve up the conference. Next up for the Lady Arrows will be a April first match up with Magazine. Game will be in Lavaca at 4:30.
