Lavaca had their first Senior night of the year. With it the school and fans had a chance to show their appreciation to a great group of young ladies. The fans did not disappoint. The home crowd was large and loud. The student section was dressed in pink and cheered throughout the match. The atmosphere was electric, as it should be on Senior night, especially when an old rival is in town.
The evening started with both A and B teams from Junior High playing. The B Team (8th grade) Lady Arrows lost their first set but Battled back to win the second and third to bring home their Match win. The A team (9th grade) lost in straight sets but battled hard.
After the Juniors finished, it was time to introduce the seniors. Abrie Rainwater (00), Morgan Taylor (3), Hope Headley (4), Hannah Parsons (15), and Abby Glidewell (21) were introduced with their parents. They exchanged gifts and hug and then it was time to go do battle….and battle is what they did. When the smoke had settled the Lady Arrows came up just short, losing to Charleston in five sets. These ladies will have to have a short memory though because they will travel to Atkins on Thursday night in the final regular season match before the Conference Tournament.
