The Lady Tigers were able to hold the Lady Elks to just 5 points by the end of the first quarter. The girls were able to hold their own defensively and keep the Lady Elks scoring to a minimal. At halftime, the scoreboard read 14-10 Elkins. Although the Lady Tigers tried their best to keep pace, they started to tire and the Lady Elks took off with the lead. Skylynn Harris led her team with 9 points. Sadie Roberts brought in 7 points. And combined for the other 7 points were Kynslee Ward, Alyson Edwards, and Sarah Fisher. The Lady Tigers now sit 5-7 in conference play.

The Tigers never could quite get their feet under them in their game against the Elks. They kept it close in the first half but by the third quarter, the game unfortunately got away from them. Zayne Dugan, Tyler Escalante, Austin Carlton, and Austin Quinalty all put points on the board for the Tigers. Head Coach, Kent Elmore explains what went wrong for the boys, “We had 2 starters out with the flu and that played a big roll in how we played. Defensively we could not find an answer and a lot of our guys I felt played timid.” The Tigers are 6-6 in conference play.
